Who we are
Sethani UK is a registered charity, established in 2004 to relieve
poverty in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
Since 2002, we've
partnered with Sethani
South Africa who work with the
community in
KwaNgcolosi, a semi-rural tribal area of KwaZulu Natal, aiming to relieve
poverty and to empower the community through the provision of
facilities and training.
Sethani South Africa is
a well-established community-based organisation who have been working
in the KwaNgcolosi area for many years - more information about their
work can be found on the Sethani
South Africa website.
Sethani
UK has provided grants to pay for school & crèche support, food
parcels, gardening tools & seeds, income generation projects, play equipment,
books and software, youth camps and other items requested through the
Sethani South Africa team. Since 2004, we've been able to
give over half a million Rand (around £50,000) to support the work
through generous donations made by individuals and groups, making a
significant difference to many lives. |
